जो मनुष्य सोने के बने सुन्दर सींग, पीतल के दूध के पात्र, धन, वस्त्र और तिल से बनी गाय दक्षिणा सहित ब्राह्मण को दान करता है, उसके लिए वसुओं के लोक सुगम हो जाते हैं। जैसे अनुकूल वायु के साथ चलने वाली नाव समुद्र में डूबते हुए मनुष्य को बचा लेती है, वैसे ही जो मनुष्य अपने कर्मों के कारण काम, क्रोध आदि राक्षसों से घिरा हुआ अज्ञानरूपी अंधकार से युक्त नरक में गिर रहा है, वह गौदान से उत्पन्न पुण्य से परलोक में बच जाता है।॥13-14॥
For one who donates beautiful horns made of gold, milk vessels made of brass, money and clothes to wear and a cow made of sesame seeds along with dakshina to a Brahmin, the worlds of the Vasus become easy for him. Just as a boat sailing with favourable winds saves a man drowning in the ocean, similarly, a person who is falling into hell filled with the darkness of ignorance, surrounded by the demons of lust, anger etc. due to his own deeds, is rescued in the next world by the virtue generated by the donation of a cow.॥13-14॥
