तब गौतम ने सभासदरूप में बैठे हुए उन महामुनियों से कहा - 'श्रेष्ठ ब्राह्मणों! आप लोग हम दोनों के प्रश्न सुनिए। अत्रिनेत्र राजा पृथुको सृष्टिकर्ता कहते हैं। इस विषय में हम दोनों में महान् संशय और विवाद उत्पन्न हो गया है।' यह सुनकर वे मुनि उक्त संशय के समाधान के लिए तुरंत ही धर्मज्ञ ऋषि सनत्कुमारजी के पास दौड़े। उन महातपस्वी ने विस्तारपूर्वक उनकी सारी बातें सुनकर उनसे ये धर्मयुक्त और अर्थपूर्ण वचन कहे - 22-24॥
Then Gautam said to those great sages sitting as members – 'Excellent Brahmins! You guys listen to the questions of both of us. Atrene Raja Prithuko is called the creator. A great doubt and dispute has arisen between both of us regarding this matter.' Hearing this, the sage immediately ran to the religious sage Sanatkumarji to resolve the said doubt. That great ascetic, after listening to all his words in detail, said to him these religious and meaningful words – 22-24॥
