इसका क्या कारण है ? मैं इसे तर्क और युक्ति सहित संक्षेप में कह रहा हूँ। हे श्रेष्ठ राजाओं! सुनो, मैं तुमसे कहता हूँ कि मृत्यु हमें क्यों नहीं सताती। हम शुद्ध आचरण और विचारों से युक्त रहते हैं, आलस्य से रहित हैं, प्रतिदिन संध्या-उपासना करते हैं, शुद्ध भोजन करते हैं और न्यायपूर्वक धन कमाते हैं; इतना ही नहीं, हम सदैव ब्रह्मचर्य का पालन करते हैं। हम केवल सत्य को जानते हैं। हम कभी झूठ नहीं बोलते और सदैव अपने धर्म का पालन करते हैं। इसीलिए हम मृत्यु से नहीं डरते॥18॥
‘What is the reason for this? I am telling this briefly with logic and reasoning. O great kings! Listen, I tell you why death does not affect us. We live with pure conduct and thoughts, are free from laziness, are devoted to performing Sandhya Upasana every day, eat pure food and earn money in a just manner; not only this, we are always engaged in observing celibacy. We know only the truth. We never indulge in lies and always follow our religion. That is why we are not afraid of death.॥ 18॥
