ज्ञानी पुरुष तपस्वी, सम्पूर्ण शास्त्रों के स्वाध्याय में तत्पर, व्रतों के पालन में दृढ़, सत्य परायण, गुरु की सेवा में तत्पर, विनयशील, सात्विक, क्षमाशील, जितेन्द्रिय और अत्यन्त तेजस्वी होते हैं। वे शुद्ध योनि में उत्पन्न होते हैं और प्रायः शुभ लक्षणों से विभूषित होते हैं। 81-82॥
A knowledgeable person is an ascetic, ready to self-study all the scriptures, steadfast in observing fasts, faithful to the truth, engaged in the service of the Guru, polite, of Shukla caste (Sattvik), forgiving, Jitendriya and very bright. They are born in a pure vagina and are often adorned with auspicious traits. 81-82॥
