वैशम्पायन उवाच
ततस्तदाज्ञाय मतं महात्मा
तेषां च धर्मस्य सुतो वरिष्ठ:॥ १७॥
प्रदक्षिणं वैश्रवणाधिवासं
चकार धर्मार्थविदुत्तमौजा:।
आमन्त्र्य वेश्मानि नदी: सरांसि
सर्वाणि रक्षांसि च धर्मराज:॥ १८॥
यथागतं मार्गमवेक्षमाण:
पुनर्गिरिं चैव निरीक्षमाण:।
ततो महात्मा स विशुद्धबुद्धि:
सम्प्रार्थयामास नगेन्द्रवर्यम्॥ १९॥
अनुवाद
वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं- जनमेजय! तत्पश्चात, धर्मपुत्र युधिष्ठिर ने महान तेज से युक्त, धर्म और अर्थ के तत्त्व को जानने वाले महात्मा युधिष्ठिर ने उस समय उन सबका अर्थ जानकर कुबेर के निवासस्थान गंधमादन पर्वत की परिक्रमा की। फिर उन्होंने वहाँ के भवनों, नदियों, सरोवरों और समस्त राक्षसों को विदा किया। इसके बाद वे जिस मार्ग से आए थे, उसी ओर देखने लगे। तत्पश्चात, उन शुद्धचित्त महात्मा युधिष्ठिर ने पुनः गंधमादन पर्वत की ओर देखकर उन महान गिरिराज से इस प्रकार प्रार्थना की। 17-19॥
Vaishampayanji says- Janamejaya! Thereafter, Dharma's son Yudhishthira, the great Mahatma, full of great energy, who knew the essence of Dharma and Artha, at that time, knowing the meaning of all of them, circumambulated the Gandhamadan mountain, the abode of Kubera. Then he bid farewell to the buildings, rivers, lakes and all the demons there. After this, they started looking towards the way they had come. After that, that pure minded Mahatma Yudhishthir again looked towards Gandhamadan mountain and prayed to that great Giriraj in this way. 17-19॥
