मताली के ये वचन सुनकर मैंने अपने को संभाला और दैत्यों की महान माया को नष्ट करते हुए भयभीत मताली से कहा, 'सूत! डरो मत। रथ पर दृढ़ होकर बैठो और देखो कि मेरी इन भुजाओं में कितना बल है। मेरे गाण्डीव धनुष और शस्त्रों का क्या प्रभाव है? आज मैं अपने शस्त्रों की मायावी शक्ति से इन दैत्यों की इस भयंकर माया और घोर अंधकार को नष्ट कर दूँगा।'
On hearing these words of Matalika, I composed myself and, destroying the great illusory power of the demons, said to the frightened Matali, 'Sut! Do not be afraid. Sit firmly on the chariot and see how much strength is there in these arms of mine. What is the effect of my Gandiva bow and weapons? Today, with the illusory power of my weapons, I will destroy this dreadful illusion of these demons and the intense darkness.'
