स विविन्ध्याय सक्रोध: समाहूय महारथ:।
चिक्षेप मे सुतो राजन् स गतासुरथापतत्॥ २६॥
अनुवाद
राजन! तत्पश्चात् मेरे उस महारथी पुत्र ने क्रोध में भरकर विन्ध्य पर वह बाण चलाया। उसके लगते ही विन्ध्य प्राणहीन होकर पृथ्वी पर गिर पड़ा॥26॥
Rajan! After that, that great warrior son of mine, filled with anger, shot that arrow at Vindhya. As soon as it hit, Vivindhya became lifeless and fell on the earth. 26॥
