'देखो, हाथी हथिनियों सहित इन तालाबों में प्रवेश करके इन्हें मथ रहे हैं। और इस दूसरे तालाब को भी देखो, जो कमल और कुमुद की मालाओं से सुशोभित है। यह कमल-मालाधारी साक्षात् प्रकट हुई दूसरी लक्ष्मी के समान है। इस उत्तम गंधमादन वन में नाना प्रकार के पुष्पों की सुगन्ध से सुगन्धित ये छोटी-छोटी वन-श्रेणियाँ, भौरों के गान से गुंजन करती हुई कितनी सुन्दर लग रही हैं? भीमसेन! देखो, यहाँ के सुन्दर प्रदेशों में चारों ओर देवताओं के लिए क्रीड़ास्थल है।' 81-83
