वहाँ मोर लताओं पर अपनी मोरनियों के साथ नाचते हुए दिखाई दे रहे थे। वे बादलों की गम्भीर गर्जना सुनकर उन्मत्त हो रहे थे। वे अपनी मधुर काँव-काँव की ध्वनि फैलाकर मधुर स्वर में संगीत उत्पन्न कर रहे थे और अपने विचित्र पंख फैलाकर आनन्दपूर्वक नाच रहे थे तथा वन में विलास और मदमस्त होकर विचरण करने को आतुर थे। कुछ मोर लताओं से आच्छादित कुटज वृक्षों की कुंजों में बैठकर अपनी मनोहर मोरनियों के साथ रमण कर रहे थे और कुछ कुटज वृक्षों की शाखाओं पर मदमस्त होकर बैठे हुए अपने सुन्दर पंखों से मुकुट के समान दिख रहे थे। वृक्षों की कोरों में कितने ही सुन्दर मोर बैठे हुए थे। पाण्डवों ने उन सबको देखा।
There, peacocks were seen dancing with their female peacocks in the creepers. They were going mad with wild lust on hearing the deep roar of the clouds like a drum. They were creating music in their sweet voices by expanding their sweet cawing sound and were dancing happily with their strange wings spread out and eager to roam in the forest in a luxurious and intoxicated manner. Some peacocks were sitting in the bowers of Kutja trees covered with creepers and were enjoying with their lovely female peacocks and some were sitting intoxicated on the branches of Kutja trees and looked like crowns with their beautiful plumage. So many beautiful peacocks were sitting in the holes of the trees. The Pandavas saw them all. 60-64.
