वे सब पाण्डव नाना प्रकार के वृक्षों से हरे-भरे पर्वत शिखरों पर डेरा डालकर चौथे दिन श्वेत (हिमालय) पर्वत पर पहुँचे, जो महान मेघों के समान शोभायमान था। वह सुन्दर शिला शीतल द्रव्य से परिपूर्ण थी और मणिमय स्वर्ण, रजत तथा शिलाओं का संग्रह थी। हिमालय का वह सुन्दर प्रदेश अनेक गुफाओं तथा झरनों से सुशोभित चट्टानी चट्टानों के कारण दुर्गम था और लताओं तथा वृक्षों से आच्छादित था। वृषपर्वा के बताए मार्ग का आश्रय लेकर पाण्डव नाना प्रकार के वृक्षों का अवलोकन करते हुए अपने अभीष्ट गंतव्य की ओर बढ़ रहे थे। 31-33॥
All those Pandavas, camping on the mountain peaks green with different types of trees, reached the White (Himalaya) Mountains on the fourth day, which was as beautiful as the great clouds. That beautiful rock was full of cold liquid and the gem was a collection of gold, silver and rocks. That beautiful region of the Himalayas was inaccessible due to the numerous caves and rocky cliffs adorned with waterfalls and was covered with creepers and trees. Taking shelter of the path shown by Vrishparva, Pandavas were moving towards their desired destination while observing different types of trees. 31-33॥
