सत्ययुग का समय भिन्न था, त्रेता और द्वापर का समय भिन्न है। यह काल सब वस्तुओं का नाश करने वाला है। अब मेरा वह रूप नहीं है। पृथ्वी, नदी, वृक्ष, पर्वत, सिद्ध, देवता और महर्षि - ये सभी काल का अनुसरण करते हैं। प्रत्येक युग के अनुसार सभी वस्तुओं का शरीर, बल और प्रभाव घटता-बढ़ता रहता है। इसलिए हे कुरुश्रेष्ठ! तुम उस रूप को देखने का आग्रह मत करो। मैं भी युग का अनुसरण करता हूँ; क्योंकि काल का उल्लंघन करना किसी के लिए भी अत्यन्त कठिन है।॥7-9॥
‘The time of Satyayug was different and that of Treta and Dwapara is different. This time destroys all things. Now I do not have that form. Earth, river, tree, mountain, Siddha, God and Maharishi – all these follow time. According to each age, the body, strength and influence of all things keep on increasing or decreasing. Therefore, best of Kurus! Do not insist on seeing that form. I too follow the age; because it is very difficult for anyone to violate time.'॥ 7-9॥
