ततोऽन्ये च चतुर्वेदास्त्रिवेदाश्च तथापरे।
द्विवेदाश्चैकवेदाश्चाप्यनृचश्च तथापरे॥ २८॥
अनुवाद
उस समय कुछ द्विज चारों वेदों को जानने वाले, कुछ तीन वेदों के विद्वान्, कुछ केवल दो वेदों को जानने वाले, कुछ केवल एक वेद के विद्वान् और कुछ वेदों की ऋचाओं के ज्ञान से सर्वथा रहित होते हैं॥ 28॥
At that time some Dwijas know the four Vedas, some are learned in the three Vedas, some know only two Vedas, some are scholars of only one Veda and some are completely devoid of the knowledge of the verses of the Vedas.॥ 28॥
