न तत्र धर्मा: सीदन्ति क्षीयन्ते न च वै प्रजा:।
तत: कृतयुगं नाम कालेन गुणतां गतम्॥ १२॥
अनुवाद
उस समय धर्म का ह्रास नहीं हुआ था। प्रजा अर्थात् सन्तानों का (माता-पिता के जीवित रहते हुए) विनाश नहीं हुआ था। तत्पश्चात् समय बीतने पर वह गौण हो गया।॥12॥
At that time there was no decline in Dharma. There was no destruction of the people i.e. children (while the parents were alive). Thereafter, with the passage of time it became secondary.॥ 12॥
