| एक बार जब सम्पूर्ण पृथ्वी समुद्र के जल में डूबकर अदृश्य हो गई और पाताल में डूब गई, तब भगवान विष्णु ने पर्वत शिखर के समान एकदंत वराह का रूप धारण करके उसकी रक्षा की थी। |
