उसकी दोनों भुजाएँ दो पर्वतों के समान प्रतीत हो रही थीं। उनकी लंबाई दस-दस हज़ार योजन के बराबर थी। उसकी आँखें चंद्रमा और सूर्य के समान चमक रही थीं। उसका मुख प्रलयकाल की अग्नि के समान प्रज्वलित हो रहा था। उसकी चंचल, चंचल जीभ बिजली की तरह चमक रही थी और उसी से वह अपने जबड़े चाट रहा था। उसका मुख खुला हुआ था और उसकी दृष्टि भयानक थी; ऐसा प्रतीत हो रहा था मानो वह बलपूर्वक समस्त जगत को निगल जाएगा। वह राक्षस क्रोधित होकर इंद्र की ओर उसे खाने के लिए दौड़ा, और उसकी अत्यंत भयानक गर्जना से समस्त जगत गूंज उठा।
Both his arms looked like two mountains. Their length was equal to ten thousand yojanas each. His eyes were shining like the moon and the sun. His face appeared to be blazing like the fire of the time of doomsday. His flickering, playful tongue was shining like electricity and with it he was licking his jaws. His mouth was open and his gaze was terrifying; it seemed as if he would swallow the whole world by force. The demon was furious and ran towards Indra to devour him, making the whole world resound with his extremely terrifying roar.
इति श्रीमहाभारते वनपर्वणि तीर्थयात्रापर्वणि लोमशतीर्थयात्रायां सौकन्येचतुर्विंशत्यधिकशततमोऽध्याय:॥ १२४॥
इस प्रकार श्रीमहाभारत वनपर्वके अन्तर्गत तीर्थयात्रापर्वमें लोमशतीर्थयात्राके प्रसंगमें सुकन्योपाख्यानविषयक एक सौ चौबीसवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ॥ १२४॥
