लोमशजी कहते हैं - युधिष्ठिर! ऐसा सुना जाता है कि इसी पयोष्णी नदी के तट पर राजा नृग ने यज्ञ करके देवताओं के राजा इन्द्र को सोमरस से तृप्त किया था। उस समय इन्द्र पूर्णतया संतुष्ट होकर आनन्द में मग्न हो गए थे॥1॥
Lomashaji says - Yudhishthira! It is heard that on the banks of this river Payoshni, king Nriga performed a yajna and satisfied the king of gods Indra with Somras. At that time Indra was completely satisfied and immersed in joy.॥1॥
