ऐसा कहकर वीर एवं शक्तिशाली भीम ने अपनी बायीं भुजा में आर्या कुंती को, दाहिनी भुजा में धर्मराज को, दोनों कंधों पर नकुल और सहदेव को तथा पीठ पर अर्जुन को लेकर अचानक बड़े जोर से छलांग लगाई और अपने भाइयों तथा माता को उस भयंकर अग्नि से बचा लिया।
Saying this, the valiant and powerful Bhima took Arya Kunti in his left arm, Dharmaraja in his right arm, Nakul and Sahadeva on both his shoulders and Arjun on his back. Taking them all with him, he suddenly jumped with great force and saved his brothers and mother from that terrible fire.
