स सुश्राव महाबाहु: कपिलेन महात्मना।
पितॄणां निधनं घोरमप्राप्तिं त्रिदिवस्य च॥ २॥
स राज्यं सचिवे न्यस्य हृदयेन विदूयता।
जगाम हिमवत्पार्श्वं तपस्तप्तुं नरेश्वर॥ ३॥ |

| हे मनुष्यों! जब उस महाबाहु ने सुना कि हमारे (साठ हजार) पूर्वज महात्मा कपिल के हाथों भयंकर मृत्यु को प्राप्त हो गए हैं और वे स्वर्ग प्राप्ति से वंचित हो गए हैं, तब वह दुःखी मन से अपना राज्य अपने मंत्री को सौंपकर स्वयं तपस्या करने के लिए हिमालय की चोटी पर चला गया॥ 2-3॥ |

When that mighty-armed man heard that our (sixty thousand) forefathers have caused a terrible death at the hands of Mahatma Kapil and they have been deprived of attaining heaven, then with a heavy heart he handed over his kingdom to his minister and himself left for the peak of the Himalayas to perform penance.॥ 2-3॥ |
