अग्नि जलाकर वेद और मन्त्रों का पाठ करके तथा अग्निहोत्र का जप करके उस समय, जो सायंकाल की स्वाभाविक शोभा के कारण रमणीय और दानव-दानव संसर्ग के समय के कारण अत्यन्त भयंकर प्रतीत हो रहा था, वे ब्राह्मण आपस में बातें करने लगे॥45॥
