महाराज! उस समय नगर के लोग अत्यंत दुःखी होकर बार-बार चिल्ला रहे थे कि 'हाय! हाय! हमारे स्वामी पाण्डव तो चले जा रहे हैं। अहा! कौरवों में जो बड़े-बूढ़े हैं, उनका यह बाल-सुलभ व्यवहार तो देखो। उनके आचरण पर धिक्कार है! ये कौरव लोभ के कारण राजा पाण्डु के पुत्रों को राज्य से निकाल रहे हैं। आज हम सब इन पाण्डुपुत्रों से वियोग पाकर अनाथ हो गए हैं। इन लोभी और अभिमानी कौरवों से हमारा प्रेम कैसे हो सकता है?॥ 24-26॥

Look at the childish behavior of the elders among the Kauravas. Shame on their behavior! These Kauravas are driving out the sons of King Pandu from the kingdom due to greed. Today, we all have become orphans after being separated from these sons of Pandu. How can we love these greedy and arrogant Kauravas?॥ 24-26॥
