वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं- जनमेजय! तब द्रोणाचार्य, सोमदत्त, बाह्लीक, कृपाचार्य, विदुर, अश्वत्थामा, महाबली युयुत्सु, भूरिश्रवा, पितामह भीष्म और महारथी विकर्ण सभी ने एक स्वर से इस निर्णय का विरोध किया और कहा- 'अब जुआ नहीं खेलना चाहिए, तभी सर्वत्र शांति हो सकेगी।' 25-26॥
Vaishampayanji says – Janamejaya! Then Dronacharya, Somdutt, Bahlika, Kripacharya, Vidur, Ashwatthama, the mighty Yuyutsu, Bhurishrava, grandfather Bhishma and Maharathi Vikarna all opposed this decision with one voice and said - 'Now there should be no gambling, only then there can be peace everywhere'. 25-26॥
