तदनन्तर गान्धारी और विद्वान विदुर ने उस संकटसूचक भयंकर वचन को लक्ष्य करके अत्यन्त दुःखी होकर राजा धृतराष्ट्र से उसके विषय में पूछा, तब राजा ने इस प्रकार कहा॥24॥
