वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं - जनमेजय! तत्पश्चात एक ओर तो समस्त पार्षदगण कुरुराज दुर्योधन के उन वचनों की ऊँचे स्वर में प्रशंसा करते हुए गर्जना करते हुए अपने वस्त्र हिलाने लगे, और दूसरी ओर हाहाकार मच गया॥7॥
