आहूतो हि परै राजा क्षात्रं व्रतमनुस्मरन्।
दीव्यते परकामेन तन्न: कीर्तिकरं महत्॥ ९॥

महाराज युधिष्ठिर को शत्रुओं ने जुआ खेलने के लिए बुलाया है; अतः वे क्षत्रिय व्रत को ध्यान में रखते हुए दूसरों की इच्छा से जुआ खेलते हैं। इससे हमारा महान यश फैलेगा॥9॥
Maharaja Yudhishthira has been called by his enemies for gambling; therefore keeping in mind the Kshatriya vow, he plays gambling at the will of others. This will spread our great fame.॥ 9॥
