युधिष्ठिर उवाच
निकृतिर्देवनं पापं न क्षात्रोऽत्र पराक्रम:।
न च नीतिर्ध्रुवा राजन् किं त्वं द्यूतं प्रशंससि॥ ५॥
अनुवाद
युधिष्ठिर बोले- हे राजन! जुआ एक प्रकार का छल है और पाप का कारण है! इसमें न तो क्षत्रिय-तुल्य वीरता दिखाई जा सकती है और न ही इसके लिए कोई निश्चित नीति है। फिर आप जुए की प्रशंसा क्यों करते हैं?॥5॥
Yudhishthira said- O King! Gambling is a type of deceit and is the cause of sin! Neither can Kshatriya-like valour be displayed in this nor is there any definite policy for it. Then why do you praise gambling?॥ 5॥
