विदुर उवाच
नाभिनन्दे नृपते प्रैषमेतं
मैवं कृथा: कुलनाशाद् बिभेमि।
पुत्रैर्भिन्नै: कलहस्ते ध्रुवं स्या-
देतच्छङ्के द्यूतकृते नरेन्द्र॥ ३॥ |

| विदुर बोले - महाराज! मैं आपके इस आदेश का स्वागत नहीं करता, कृपया ऐसा कार्य न करें। मुझे भय है कि इससे समस्त कुल का नाश हो जाएगा। हे नरेन्द्र! यदि पुत्रों में मतभेद हुआ, तो तुम्हें अवश्य ही कलह का सामना करना पड़ेगा। इस जुए के कारण ही मुझे ऐसी आशंका हो रही है। |
