ममत्वं हि न कर्तव्यमैश्वर्ये वा धनेऽपि वा।
पूर्वावाप्तं हरन्त्यन्ये राजधर्मं हि तं विदु:॥ १२॥

धन-सम्पत्ति में आसक्ति नहीं रखनी चाहिए, क्योंकि पहले कमाया हुआ धन दूसरे लोग बलपूर्वक छीन लेते हैं। यही राजा का कर्तव्य माना गया है॥12॥
One should not have attachment towards wealth or riches, because the wealth earned earlier is forcibly taken away by others. This is considered to be the duty of a king.॥ 12॥
