तत्पश्चात्, प्रत्येक क्षमाशील और कुलीन राजा काम्यक सरोवर के निकट उत्पन्न हुए एक-एक सहस्त्र हाथियों का वध करके द्वार में प्रवेश करते थे। उन हाथियों के दाँत हलदण्ड के समान लम्बे थे। उन्हें बाँधने वाली रस्सियाँ सोने की बनी थीं। उन हाथियों का रंग कमल के समान श्वेत था। उनकी पीठ पर डोल रहा था। वे पर्वतों के समान और उन्मत्त प्रतीत होते थे।

The ropes used to tie them were made of gold. The colour of those elephants was white like lotus. There was a swaying on their backs. They looked like mountains and appeared mad.
