वैशम्पायन कहते हैं- जनमेजय! शिशुपाल के वचन बड़े कठोर थे। उसका एक-एक शब्द कटुता से भरा हुआ था। यह सुनकर बलवानों में श्रेष्ठ भीमसेन क्रोध से भर गए।
