भीष्मजी कहते हैं- युधिष्ठिर! तब महाबाहु जनार्दन अत्यंत प्रसन्न होकर बोले- 'देवराज! मैं भूमिपुत्र नरकासुर को अवश्य ही परास्त करके अपनी माता के कुण्डल वापस ले आऊँगा।'
