भीष्मजी कहते हैं- युधिष्ठिर! ऐसा कहकर गुरु सांदीपनि अपने पुत्र के शोक से विह्वल हो गए। यद्यपि उनकी माँग अत्यन्त कठिन थी, तीनों लोकों में किसी अन्य पुरुष के लिए इस कार्य को पूरा करना असम्भव था, फिर भी श्रीकृष्ण ने उसे पूरा करने की प्रतिज्ञा की।
Bhishmaji says- Yudhishthir! Saying this, Guru Sandipani was overcome with grief for his son. Although his demand was very difficult, it was impossible for any other man in the three worlds to accomplish this task, yet Shri Krishna vowed to fulfill it.
