व्रतमुग्रं महात्मानौ विचरन्तावतिष्ठताम्।
अहोरात्रचतुष्षष्टॺा षडङ्गं वेदमापतु:॥ |

| वे दोनों महात्मा वहाँ कठोर व्रत का पालन करते हुए रहते थे और चौसठ दिन-रात में ही छह अंगों सहित सम्पूर्ण वेदों का ज्ञान प्राप्त कर लेते थे। |
