सहस्रबाहुर्भूयासमेष मे प्रथमो वर:॥
जरायुजाण्डजं सर्वं सर्वं चैव चराचरम्।
प्रशास्तुमिच्छे धर्मेण द्वितीयस्त्वेष मे वर:॥
अनुवाद
(वे वरदान इस प्रकार हैं - हैहयराज ने कहा -) 'मैं धनवान, बुद्धिमान, बलवान, सत्यवादी, दोषरहित और सहस्त्र भुजाओं से विभूषित होऊँ, यह मेरे लिए पहला वर है। 'मैं समस्त चर-अचर जगत् तथा अण्डज्वर आदि प्राणियों पर धर्मपूर्वक शासन करना चाहता हूँ' - यह मेरे लिए दूसरा वर हो।
(Those boons are as follows - Haihayaraj said -) 'May I be rich, intelligent, strong, truthful, faultless and adorned with a thousand arms, this is the first boon for me. 'I want to rule the entire animate and inanimate world along with the viviparous and oviparous creatures in a righteous manner' - this should be the second boon for me.
