कोमल शरीर वाले इस दैत्य का नाम मधु होगा और कठोर शरीर वाले का नाम कैटभ होगा। इस प्रकार नाम निश्चित हो जाने पर दोनों दैत्य शक्ति से उन्मत्त होकर सर्वत्र विचरण करने लगे।
