अथ धर्मोपघाताद्धि मन: समुपतप्यते।
योऽनागसि प्रसजति क्षत्रियो हि न संशय:॥ ३॥
अतोऽन्यथा चरँल्लोके धर्मज्ञ: सन् महारथ:।
वृजिनां गतिमाप्नोति श्रेयसोऽप्युपहन्ति च॥ ४॥ |

| जब कोई अपने धर्म (और धन) में बाधा डालता है, तब निश्चय ही मन में बड़ी पीड़ा होती है। जो धर्म में पारंगत महारथी क्षत्रिय किसी निर्दोष व्यक्ति पर दूसरों के धन और धर्म का नाश करने का आरोप लगाता है, वह दुःखमय गति को प्राप्त होता है और स्वयं भी कल्याण से वंचित हो जाता है; इसमें संशय नहीं है। ॥3-4॥ |

| There is certainly great anguish in the mind when someone interferes with his Dharma (and wealth). A great warrior Kshatriya who is well-versed in Dharma and who accuses an innocent person of destroying the wealth and Dharma of others, attains a painful state and deprives himself of welfare as well; there is no doubt about this. ॥3-4॥ |
