एवंगते ततस्तस्मिन् पितरीवाश्वसञ्जना:।
न तस्य विद्यते द्वेष्टा ततोऽस्याजातशत्रुता॥ ९॥
अनुवाद
उनका ऐसा आचरण देखकर सारी प्रजा उन पर पिता के समान विश्वास करने लगी। कोई भी ऐसा नहीं बचा जो उनसे द्वेष रखता हो। इसीलिए वे 'अजातशत्रु' नाम से प्रसिद्ध हुए।
Seeing his such behaviour, all the subjects started trusting him like a father. There was no one left who had any animosity towards him. That is why he became famous by the name 'Ajatashatru'.
