राजसूय यज्ञ करने वाले महात्मा राजर्षि की महिमा सुनकर तथा पुण्यकर्मों से उत्तम लोकों की प्राप्ति देखकर तथा यज्ञ करने वाले राजर्षि हरिश्चंद्र की महान महिमा (तथा विशेष कीर्ति और सम्मान) सुनकर उनके मन में राजसूय यज्ञ करने की इच्छा हुई ॥2-3॥
Hearing the glory of Mahatma Rajarshi who performed Rajasuya Yagya and seeing the attainment of good worlds through virtuous deeds and hearing about the great glory (and special glory and respect) of Rajarshi Harishchandra who performed the Yagya, he had a desire to perform Rajasuya Yagya. 2-3॥
