वैशम्पायन उवाच
न शक्यं कर्मणामन्ते सर्वेण मनुजाधिप।
प्रकृतिं किं नु सम्यक्ते पृच्छैषा सम्प्रयोजिता॥ ८॥ |

| वैशम्पायन बोले, "हे राजन! अपने कर्मों के फलों का भोग करने के पश्चात् सभी लोग अपने मूल स्वभाव (मूल कारण) को प्राप्त नहीं होते; (केवल कुछ ही अपने कारण में लीन हो जाते हैं)। यदि आप पूछें कि क्या मेरा प्रश्न अप्रासंगिक है? तो इसका उत्तर यह है कि जिन्होंने मूल स्वभाव को प्राप्त नहीं किया है, उनके लिए आपका प्रश्न सर्वथा सत्य है॥8॥ |
