वर्चा नाम महातेजा: सोमपुत्र: प्रतापवान्॥ १८॥
सोऽभिमन्युर्नृसिंहस्य फाल्गुनस्य सुतोऽभवत्।
स युद्ध्वा क्षत्रधर्मेण यथा नान्य: पुमान् क्वचित्॥ १९॥
विवेश सोमं धर्मात्मा कर्मणोऽन्ते महारथ:। |

| चन्द्रमा का अत्यंत प्रतापी पुत्र वर्चा, सिंह-पुरुष अर्जुन का पुत्र हुआ और अभिमन्यु नाम से प्रसिद्ध हुआ। उसने क्षत्रिय-धर्मानुसार ऐसा युद्ध किया, जैसा कोई अन्य पुरुष कभी नहीं कर सकता था। वह धर्मात्मा योद्धा अभिमन्यु अपना कार्य पूरा करके चन्द्रमा में ही प्रवेश कर गया।॥18-19 1/2॥ |
