एवं प्रयतमानानां वृष्णीनामन्धकै: सह।

| वैशम्पायन कहते हैं, 'हे राजन! इस प्रकार वृष्णि और अंधक कुल के लोग अपने ऊपर आने वाली विपत्ति को दूर करने के लिए तरह-तरह के प्रयत्न कर रहे थे, वहीं दूसरी ओर मृत्यु प्रतिदिन सबके घरों में आ रही थी। |
