हे राजन! जब उस पापी दु:शासन ने अपनी बुद्धि खोकर मेरी इस पुत्रवधू के केश खींचे, तब मैं दुःख से भर गया था। इसीलिए उस समय मैंने विदुला के वचनों द्वारा तुम्हें अपना तेज बढ़ाने के लिए प्रेरित किया था। हे पुत्रों! इस बात को अच्छी तरह समझ लो॥13-14॥
O kings! When that sinner Dushasan, who had lost his wisdom, pulled the hair of this daughter-in-law of mine, I was overcome with sorrow. That was the reason that at that time I encouraged you to increase your brilliance through the words of Vidula. O sons! Understand this thing well.॥13-14॥
