भूमिर्देया नरश्रेष्ठ स निधि: पारलौकिक:॥
अनुवाद
हे पुरुषोत्तम! जिसके परिवार के सदस्य जीविका के अभाव में दुर्बल हो गए हों, जिसके गाय-घोड़े दुबले-पतले दिखाई देते हों तथा जो अतिथियों का सदैव सत्कार करता हो, ऐसे ब्राह्मण को भूमि दान करनी चाहिए, क्योंकि वह परलोक के लिए धन है।
Best of men! One should donate land to a Brahmin whose family members have become weak due to lack of livelihood, whose cows and horses look thin and who is always hospitable to guests, because it is a treasure for the next world.
