जन्मान्तरसहस्रैस्तु मनुष्यत्वं हि दुर्लभम्।
तद् गत्वापीह यो धर्मं न करोति स्ववञ्चित:॥
अनुवाद
हजारों योनियों में भटकने के बाद भी मनुष्य जन्म मिलना कठिन है। ऐसा दुर्लभ मानव जन्म पाकर भी जो धार्मिक अनुष्ठान नहीं करता, वह महान लाभों से वंचित रह जाता है।
‘Even after wandering through thousands of births, it is difficult to get a human birth. Even after getting such a rare human birth, one who does not perform religious rituals remains deprived of great benefits.
