तत्पश्चात्, एक दिन जब पुनः छठा काल आया, तो उन्होंने एक किलो जौ इकट्ठा किया। उन तपस्वी ब्राह्मणों ने उस जौ से सत्तू बनाया और विधिपूर्वक जप, नित्यकर्म तथा अग्नि में आहुति देने के पश्चात्, सभी ने एक-एक कुड़व अर्थात् एक-एक सेर सत्तू बाँटकर खाया।
Thereafter, one day again, when the sixth period came, they procured a kilo of barley. Those ascetic Brahmins prepared Sattu from that barley and after completing the chanting and daily rituals and offering oblations in the fire as per the rituals, all of them got ready to distribute one Kudav i.e. one pound of Sattu to each one and eat it.
