हे भरतश्रेष्ठ! भरत! उस यज्ञ में श्रेष्ठ ब्राह्मणों, कुल के लोगों, बन्धु-बान्धवों, अंधों और दरिद्रों के तृप्त हो जाने पर जब युधिष्ठिर के महादान का बड़ा शोर मच गया और धर्मराज के सिर पर पुष्पों की वर्षा होने लगी, उसी समय वहाँ एक नेवला आया। अनघ! उसके नेत्र नीले थे और शरीर का एक भाग सोने का बना था। पृथ्वीनाथ! आते ही उसने वज्र के समान भयंकर गर्जना की। 3-5।
