ब्राह्मणों! सुनो! एक बार वहाँ भयंकर अकाल पड़ा। उन दिनों उन धर्मपरायण ब्राह्मणों के पास खाने के लिए अनाज नहीं था, यहाँ तक कि उनके खेतों में अनाज भी सूख गया था। इसलिए वे बिल्कुल दरिद्र हो गए थे।
Brahmins! Listen. Once there was a terrible famine there. In those days those pious Brahmins had no food grains to store, even the food grains in their fields had dried up. Hence they had become absolutely poor.
