वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं - जनमेजय! भगवान श्रीकृष्ण की यह बात सुनकर बुद्धिमान धर्मपुत्र युधिष्ठिर ने व्यासजी को संबोधित करते हुए कहा - 'भगवन! जब आप अश्वमेध यज्ञ आरम्भ करने का उचित समय पाएँ, तभी आकर मुझे उसमें दीक्षित करें; क्योंकि मेरा यज्ञ आपके अधीन है।'॥1-2॥
Vaishmpayana says - Janamejaya! On hearing this from Lord Krishna, the intelligent son of Dharma, Yudhishthira addressed Vyasji and said - 'Lord! When you find the right time to start the Ashwamedha Yagna, then only come and initiate me into it; because my Yagna is under your control.'॥ 1-2॥
