इयं हि वसुधा सर्वा क्षीणरत्ना कुरूद्वहा:॥ ८॥
तच्चाचष्ट तदा व्यासो मरुत्तस्य धनं नृपा:।
अनुवाद
महाब्रह्मवादी व्यासजी के वचनों से हमें अंततः लाभ ही होगा। कौरवों! इस समय समस्त पृथ्वी रत्नों और धन से नष्ट हो गई है; अतः हमारी आर्थिक कठिनाई दूर करने के लिए व्यासजी ने उस दिन हमें मरुत के धन का पता बताया था।
