ब्राह्मण बोला - देवि ! तत्पश्चात् अलर्क ने उसी वृक्ष के नीचे बैठकर घोर तप किया, किन्तु उसे मन-बुद्धि सहित पाँचों इन्द्रियों को मारने में समर्थ कोई अच्छा बाण नहीं मिला ॥26॥
The Brahmin said – Goddess! Thereafter, Alarka sat under the same tree and performed severe penance, but he could not find any good arrow capable of killing the five senses including the mind and intellect. 26॥
