राजेन्द्र! देवता, वसु, रुद्र, पितर, अश्विनीकुमार, साध्यगण, विश्वेदेव, गन्धर्व, सिद्ध, ब्रह्मर्षि, सोम, ग्रह, नदियाँ, समुद्र, मरुत्, अप्सराएँ, नाग, यक्ष, राक्षस और गुह्यक- ये तथा अन्य देवता भी इन्द्रियों का संयम करके विषुवकाल में व्रत करते हैं और बड़े यत्न से परमात्मा के ध्यान में लगे रहते हैं।

The gods, the Vasus, the Rudras, the ancestors, the Ashwini Kumars, the Sadhyagans, the Vishvedevs, the Gandharvas, the Siddhas, the Brahmarishis, Soma, the planets, the rivers, the oceans, the Maruts, the Apsaras, the Nagas, the Yakshas, the Rakshasas and the Guhyakas – these and other gods also fast during the equinox with restraint in their senses and engage in the meditation of the Supreme Soul with great effort.
